A microphone for 9.1
MacAlly the manufacturer of many USS (and not only) Mac devices, among these we find iVoice, a product not yet available and that will work as a microphone for every Mac with USB ports, adding some extra features, such as volume control and the 'mute' button, as well as a standard jack for connecting another external microphone. What is important is the system requests to work: although it is given as compatible with OS 8.6, in reality it requires extensions only present in OS 9.1, which, according to the source that prefers to remain anonymous, should be released soon. These extensions are actually already present in part on the sys 9.0.4 supplied with some of the most recent macintosh. In particular OS 9.1 will have "Sound" Control panel v8.5.1 "Apple Audio Extension" v1.2.2
while in sys 9.0.4 there are versions 8.1.3 and 1.0.4 respectively. Conversely, on Cube and iBooks, as on the new iMacs, we already find the 8.5.1 version of the sound control and the 1.0.9 version of the ?Apple Audio Extension? extension. Already with these elements iVoice will be able to work, while it does not work with the classic 9.0.4 system, therefore, before buying, verify that you are in possession of the correct versions of the individual extensions.
