WhatsApp reaches 900 million monthly users

Facebook entry seems to have been good for the application: new user record on a monthly basis

Periodically, the time comes when someone from Facebook communicates, with a post on the social network, the new numbers of the company. This time it was Jan Kourn, CEO of WhatsApp: the application, communicates, has exceeded 900 million active users per month. A milestone that has 100 million users in addition to the April communication and one 50% growth in the last twelve months.

So, despite the controversy following the acquisition, which had mobilized the migration – only formal? – to the more "reserved" Telegram, it seems that WhatsApp has benefited from the acquisition by Facebook.

In January, WhatsApp also landed on desktop, recently also for iOS users. For those wishing to discover their list of closest friends: WhatsApp preserves them.
