New ways of working and collaborating are spreading. Even the most important activities today pass through the network and Cisco wants to add something more, that is the possibility of fully collaborating through video, remote meetings, using an easy platform to integrate in information systems

Almost 40% of the networked population, 80% of business processes pass through the network and, in the last year, data equal to all those that were created in 5,000 years have been produced. Based on these numbers, Cisco has worked to try to create environments and experiences based on digital experience that could enable companies to achieve the professional goals they had set for themselves. This evaluation arises from the consideration that work is always less repetitive and more and more flexible and requires, for this reason, interactivity and increasing collaboration. Our industrial sector has provided tools that have given important answers to individual problems, but the answer to the question of collaboration had not yet been given in an exhaustive manner, said Michele Dalmazzoni, Lead architecture collaboration, Cisco Italia. There are certainly several manufacturers that offer, even today, silo solutions, not able, in essence, to satisfy the overall needs of voice, video and communication. In this way, for the end user, the user experience is fragmented, while at the application and infrastructural level IT is found with an immense complexity to manage. This is why the focus of these years for Cisco was to be able to create collaboration solutions to offer an integrated use experience, based on a single platform. A series of innovations arrive, which have the objective of making high quality video technologies available and extremely simple for all users. Technology makes it easier to connect and collaborate with colleagues, partners and customers from anywhere. Having reliable, high quality and interoperable video technologies, however, a fundamental requirement for collaboration. Thanks to this type of video technology, several meetings can be held on the same day with collaborators spread all over the way. Market statistics, however, are clear and show that over 93% of meeting rooms do not have high quality video solutions. Thus, with the conviction that video should be available everywhere: from the browser to the meeting rooms, including the 93% that were discussed earlier, Cisco solutions arrive; starting from the simplest, scalable and perfect also for small companies. This is the Cisco TelePresence SX10 Quick Set, which costs less than a PC and is based on elements that most companies already have in their meeting rooms, such as flat-panel displays. Ideal for small and medium sized realities, this system transforms any display into an HD video collaboration system in just 10 minutes, making high-quality experiences available at a very affordable price. In fact, we talk about an investment of around 2,000 euros. From here the solutions can grow according to the needs and the size of the rooms considered, passing from the MX200 / MX300 G2 series, up to the MX700 / MX800 range for large meeting rooms. An interesting detail, finally, Cisco Project Workspace, an interactive portal that allows the end user not to start from the terminal to choose the best solution, but from its needs. The portal offers possible scenarios to create and simulate the ideal environment through real demos.
