My Triumph Connectivity System is the service that allows some motorcycles of the brand – specifically the Scrambler 1200 XC and XE and the Rocket 3 R and GT – to become more smart and more connected. It is available from today in Italy, and costs ? 241 plus installation; official assembly times amount to one hour. The Connectivity Module must be physically installed in the motorcycle, then the configuration of the relevant software and the updating of the software of the main TFT instrument panel is required. The service was announced at EICMA 2018, a little over a year ago (we report our video preview at the bottom of the article), and offers various comforts, including:
- Possibility of check GoPro action cam directly from the controls in the handlebar (an absolute novelty in the world of motorcycles)
- Turn-by-turn satellite navigation thanks to Google Maps (news in the premium motorcycle segment)
- Integration with the smartphone to receive / make phone calls and manage music playback
For the occasion, the official My Triumph app also debuts, a fundamental part of the equation that allows smartphones and motorcycle software to interact. The app can be downloaded for free both on the Play Store and on the App Store.
