Google Now on Tap, the virtual assistant gets smarter

Google updates its virtual assistant, now able to also suggest search results based on the context of email and SMS

San Francisco –During I / O, the conference for developers running at Moscone West, there was a lot of talk about Google Now, the virtual assistant that anticipates your needs thanks to three main areas of operation.

Context: to work, Google Now must always know where you are and where you want to go. Google also announced the next version of Google Now: Google Now on Tap designed to provide immediate search responses based on the context. For example, if we receive an email citing a movie in the text, just hold down the Home button to see a card appear with the plot, with no need to leave the message.

Similarly, they can be seen the details of a restaurant that is proposed to us via SMS, with direct links to call, see reviews on Yelp, book with OpenTable or Maps.

Google Now on Tap also recognizes requests and proposes the creation of a memorandum.

Google Now on Tap will be automatically integrated into Google Now e available with Android M, the next version of Google's operating system.
