French distributors against Apple
It really seems that Steve Jobs's descent in Europe and the opening of the Apple Expo does not take place under the best auspices. As if that weren't enough the haulers' strike that if it were not suspended could put a strain on the organization and drastically cut the number of visitors and the protest announced by a group of English users, now comes the news that about 250 French retailers have constituted in association to manifest all their discomfort for the recent commercial policies of the Cupertino society.
In a long letter that is published by a site (ADA.Mac-Fan.com) set up for the occasion, an endless series of faults, real or alleged, of which Apple would have been tarnished are listed. Ranging from the drastic cut to the margins that no longer allows to set up an efficient service to difficult or even impossible relationships with the local managers of Cupertino. There is no lack of accusations due to the lack of support offered to consumers, due to the continuous change of standards and connection systems due to the lack of information given on new products that obliges to unthinkable contortions for warehouse management.
"If you think Apple is making fun of you – say the adherents of the Apple Distributors Association – join a sizeable network of 250 distributors. Together we will defend our professionalism by sensitizing the various protagonists ".
This last promise suggests that the group intends to launch some form of protest or public initiative on the occasion of the Apple Expo in Paris. At the moment, no details have been disclosed yet.
