Microsoft had promised it and Dropbox kept the word. From now on, with the latest version of the client for the famous cloud service, all Android and iOS users will be able to edit their documents directly online through the Made in Redmond productivity suite.

Users will be able to view a text file, a presentation or a spreadsheet tap the edit button and be automatically taken to Word, Powerpoint or Excel on your smartphone or iPad; all changes made during the session will be synchronized with the version in the cloud.

The new feature actually allows you to choose which app to use to adjust documents, but for Office users the integration works in both directions: from the productivity app it is possible to open the files stored on the device or directly from the cloud space of OneDrive or Dropbox.
