How to delete voice recordings from Google Home

noviembre 30, 2019

In light of the recent Amazon Echo news that recorded a couple's conversations and sent the recording to a random contact, people wondered how smart speakers keep records of everything we say to them. While smart speakers like Amazon Echo and Google Home keep records of our conversations with them, there is a way to eliminate them. So, if you're wondering how to delete your voice recordings from Google Home, here's how you can do it.

Delete voice recordings from Google Home

Eliminate voice recordings from Google Home easy enough, to be honest. You can simply follow the steps below to delete your voice recordings from Google Home:

  • In the Google Home app, tap the hamburger menu at the top left. Here, touch "Le my activities ".

  • On the next screen, you will be able to see all the voice recordings Google has of you. You can touch "Play" to listen to the voice recording and, if you want to delete it, you can tap the three-point icon and tap "Delete".

  • Google classifies the recordings by days, so you can delete all the recordings for a specific day by tapping the three-point menu icon next to the tab titled "Today", "Yesterday" etc., then tap Delete.

Alternatively, you can delete the entire voice history in one go by going to the My Google Activities page on your web browser.

  • Here, click " Filter by date and product ", then select the checkbox next to" Voice and audio ".

  • Click on the 'Search' button.

  • Once the results are loaded, you can tap the three-point icon on the search bar and click " Delete results "

This will erase your entire voice history from Google's servers. However, please note that Google does not recommend doing this because it uses data to improve speech recognition on Google Home and eliminating these records could hinder the user experience.
