With Windows, you never know which crazy error message will open up and spaventer you one day! An error message that I recently saw on a client computer was:
Istruzione alla memoria referenziata 0x000 a 0x000. La memoria non pu essere letta.
Wow! What the hell does that mean?!? Well, just like most Windows errors, it can be a lot of things. This error can be caused by a bad memory, a bad CPU, older drivers, hardware conflicts and a lot of other things!
With this kind of error, you basically have to try a lot of things and see if something works. Also, logically think about each solution. For example, if your computer is brand new, you probably don't have a bad memory.
Method 1: increase virtual memory
A reason why you might have this error if your virtual memory settings are very low. You can right-click on My Computer, go to the tab advanced and click Settings under Performance .
Then click on the tab again advanced in Performance Options and click on the button Change in Virtual memory .
Read my previous article on how to optimize the page file size to set the value to the appropriate setting for your computer. Restart the computer and check if the problem is resolved or not.
Method 2 – Uninstall the Buggy software
Another reason why this problem could occur outside of possible hardware problems is that if you have installed software with errors or you visit a website with buggy code.
If you have recently installed a program other than Adobe, Microsoft, Google or another large and reliable company, try uninstalling it and see what happens. A lot of times it can even be a popular software that only has bugs in it.
Furthermore, this reference memory error occurs in software programs related to firewalls, antivirus, anti-spyware and the like. If you're using something like that, try uninstalling and see if the problem disappears.
If you have antivirus software or any type of software to scan Internet traffic in real time, make sure to disable it and see if the problem disappears. If a program is analyzing Web traffic, it is possible to get the reference memory error.
Method 3: Update the drivers and install the latest patches
Depending on the hardware, the error may occur because the computer does not use the latest drivers.
The main thing to update here are videos, hard drives, chipsets and network drivers. These are usually the main culprits of this type of error. also a good idea to update the BIOS to the latest version.
Also, be sure to install all the latest Windows patches and service packs. There have been several times when reference memory errors have been caused by Windows and not by others. Update Windows, Office and any other program on your computer.
Method 4: Perform a system recovery
We hope that if you received this error only recently, you may be able to restore your computer to a previous state. can get this error sometimes if the registry corrupted.
The registry can be damaged by a buggy program (as mentioned above), but sometimes even after it has been uninstalled, you will still get the error because the registry is still damaged somewhere.
You can try to perform a system recovery and hopefully get to a state prior to program installation. You can also try downloading and installing a registry cleaner and see if this solves the problem.
Method 5 – Run System File Checker
Another possible solution is to run the integrated system file corrector provided with Windows. You can run it by going to Start, Run and typing CMD. Right-click on it and choose Run as administrator. At the prompt, type the following command:
sfc / scannow
Then press Enter. Analyze all Windows system files and replace damaged or deleted files. You can read my previous post on how to navigate the DOS command prompt if you're new to it.
Method 6 – Disable add-ons in the Internet browser
If you are getting memory it cannot be read error only in Internet Explorer, it could be caused by a faulty add-on. You need to go to the settings and disable all add-ons or start Internet Explorer without any additional components.
You can read my previous post on how to avoid installing browser add-ons with malware for assistance on how to do both.
Method 7 – Uninstall Old Versions of Java Runtime
Speaking of good software, previous versions of Java Runtime Environment can cause this problem. What is annoying that even when updating Java, sometimes previous versions are left on the computer.
You can read my previous post on how to remove the old version of JRE using a free program.
Well, that's all I can think of! If the problem persists, post a comment here with the exact error code and I will try to help you! To enjoy!
