Your dream to do the souffl, but are you not capable? Or do you want spinach shaped like a Space Shuttle to eat your food? The technology of 3D printers is also applied to food. There are various prototypes, such as the one made by MIT in Boston (Cornucopia project) and already functioning machines. The structure (all in all) simple. The printer uses the various ingredients in liquid form as inks, and performs several steps to give the desired shape. The basic technology is that of 3D printers that create three-dimensional objects by milling blocks of matter or (as in the case of printed matter for food) by adding various layers of materai in different steps. With 3D printers for food it is therefore possible to make a donut with inside a company chocolate logo, or a quiche lorraine in the shape of a spaceship. Not just an invention for extravagant marketing geniuses looking for amazing forms of food. The simplest application, designed by MIT, is based on QrCode. Just scan the QrCode of a recipe and the food-printer will make the recipe perfectly, without missing salt, butter or flour doses. A Chef in a code – the idea of ??printed food perhaps not very attractive for a country like Italy, which makes no distinction between cuisine and culture, but undoubtedly it is a surprising technology. Digital technology has revolutionized many aspects of our lives, but not the kitchen.
