MultiTouch Windows 8

Windows 8 will be multitouch. Through the trackpad you will be able to manage the operating system, applications and activities with a series of touches, a bit like on the Smartphone, only instead of touching the screed, you use the small sensitive portion at the base of the notebook. The technology was developed by Microsoft with Synaptics (the company founded by Federico Faggin that introduced the trackpad in PCs). Here is a video that demonstrates these features, some of which are already common for a user of Apple laptops, but which Microsft and Synaptics seem to have really successfully integrated and performed well. Of course the fact remains that acting on a touchscreen or on a very different trackpad. Even if the gestures are the same, the fact of manipulating a graphic object directly (with the screen) or indirectly (with the trackpad) changes much the experience of use. Probably the syntax of the movements evolves in two slightly different directions xerox_itmine
