Even the iPad Pro will have facial recognition

The tablet should be announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, but not the only device in preparation for Cupertino

The new 9.7-inch iPad Pro

For Apple, intense months are coming, characterized by the launch of several interesting products: a few days ago a note from a Rosenblatt Securities analyst emerged on the Net informing investors of the likely arrival of a new iPad Pro with a new design in time for Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference which should be held around the beginning of June. According to forecasts the tablet should bring it for the first time same release system designed for iPhone X, the Face ID technology that analyzes the conformation of the face in three dimensions and uses it as an access key.

The step had been anticipated months ago by Kgi Securities analysts, while it remains unclear whether the new model will have a notch for housing the required sensors or whether the latter will be housed inside a thin frame equally distributed on all four sides of the screen; in any case, according to Rosenblatt, the technology used for the display will still be lcd instead of the more expensive oled technology used for iPhone X.

Despite the announcement scheduled for early June, the gadget may not be available earlier from the second half of the year. A more recent and independent Digitimes report actually places the launch of a new iPad in this time window, adding that in the second quarter two other products will arrive on the market: an update of the 9.7-inch iPad from last year, and a 13.3-inch MacBook that is more affordable than average (a likely upgrade to the Air model, from $ 799-899).
