All the world outside. It eliminates all interference from the outside world, sounds, lights and with its threatening points it warns neighbors that we do not want to be disturbed, that they must not approach our circle of silence. This One Sense is an invention of Designer Joe Doucet.

Even the most passionate of technology lovers will, at least once, have dreamed of a temporary escape in a totally analogical world. Far from broadband, wi-fi, and cellular areas, the mind could rest. The bombardment of information that strikes us from thousands of sources and devices can, in effect, wear out.

Joe Doucet must also be deeply convinced that he decided to intervene, creating One Sense (http://www.joedoucet.com/). The image lets us understand its purpose quite easily: to guarantee serenity, concentration and calm to those who will have the courage to wear this "mask", even in an open-space of a large company.

Goodbye external interference, at least for a while, with this design object that seems more like a programmatic declaration, than a possible future "must have".

"One Sense symbolizes the human need for moments of peace and tranquility," admits Doucet himself.

For those interested in a test in person, the appointment at the Meet My Project (http://www.meetmyproject.com/) in Milan, from 17 to 21 April.

Watch out for the possible side effect: make those who meet you really quiet and relaxed.
