In the field of virtualization, solid state disks, data loss is still a widespread problem. Kroll Ontrack alone in the last 12 months has been called to retrieve data from 7,000 customers in Italy, generating 1 PB of recovered information. SSD, on solid state disks, not only for the greater diffusion of this type of support, but also because it is a relatively young product and for which there are many manufacturers, who often do not follow the same standards and where the data loss many times attributable to the software that manages the memories and governs reading and writing. The interventions required for data recovery in the cloud environment multiply, which is very safe, much more than other platforms – explained Paolo Salin, country director of Kroll Ontrack but when some inconvenience occurs in this environment it becomes essential to be able to intervene with great competence. The complexity of the system requires a very specialized approach. In the same way, given the exponential growth of the brand, requests for intervention on Apple systems are on the rise. "In general – added Salin – in Italy it is estimated that between 3 and 6 per thousand systems experience a loss of data"
