Pioneer America will launch an iPod adapter compatible with its car radios by spring.
The device, announced yesterday and named CD-IB100, will be compatible with the IP bus that characterizes Pioneer car audio systems allowing you to maneuver "iPod as easily as a car radio", as stated in the release.
Once connected to the CD-IB100, the characters that make up the song being played on the iPod and the album will appear on the display of the car radio, eight at a time. By pressing a few keys it will be possible to read the whole title. On some types of Pioneer players with a larger screen you will get the entire text and also the possibility of viewing the playlists.
According to what we learn, thanks to the interface, the dotae equalizer radios will also be able to automatically improve the audio output from iPod restoring the harmonic lost by digital compression.
Finally, the interface also features a system for charging the iPod.
The price for the American market will be $ 140. In the press release there is no mention of a possible availability in Europe.
