In a press release, Rob Glaser, founder and CEO, reiterated the great growth of the service: "Clearly there is a real need and a strong demand for RealPlayer Cloud, which is essentially a Dropbox for video".
Every smartphone and tablet manufacturer allows you to save video in different formats on your devices, which may not be readable and compatible on other devices. RealPlayer Cloud helps solve this problem, being compatible with many formats such as FLV, WMV, MKV, DIVX, XVID, MOV, AVI and MP4 video formats. Each video is reformatted in the Cloud by the RealPlayer service and correctly formatted for the device on which to upload the video.
With today's update, RealPlayer Cloud has added new features. Users are now able to invite friends to the service. For each friend who signs up through your referral, you and your friend will receive an additional 1 GB of storage space. In addition, iOS users can share links via SMS and iMessage.
You can download the application RealPlayer Cloud from the App Store for free.
