Another big name for hi-fi for iPod: Klipsch presents iFi 2.1
Consisting of two RSX-3 satellites, a dedicated subwoofer and a "cradle" that houses the iPod for connection, charging and remote control in radio frequency, the iFi system is presented as a complement capable of providing the iPod the power and versatility of a real home hi-fi system.
The RSX-3 satellites are two-way speakers, magnetically shielded and employ a 3.5-inch aluminum wofer and a 0.75-inch titanium tweeter coupled to a MicroTractrix Horn. The Woofer is a long run model driven by a ceramic magnetic motor structure. The subwoofer has an amplifier included in class D that allows you to get 200 Watts peak also has an additional line input.
The cradle allows the iPod to be recharged and acts as a receiver for the radiofrequency remote control that allows the control of the source (in this case the iPod) also through the walls of the house: up to 6 different remote controls can be used with the same base .
The product will be available in the USA starting from March 2005 for 399 Dollars, in our country it will arrive in the second quarter of 2005.
