HooToo HT-UH006, compact and fast 7 port HUB for Mac / PC

The trend of recent years has been to create portable devices, such as ultrabooks, which are increasingly thinner. For this reason the manufacturers have to sacrifice some internal components in order to reach the goal, a bit like Apple did, presenting the new MacBook, with a thickness of only 13mm, which has only one USB port at the entrance.

There are three reasons why I decided to choose this model:

The first one has a compact design, although the HUB offers 7 USB inputs;

The second reason that all USB ports are in version 3.0, so they allow high speed data transfer;

The third reason is the presence of an optional power supply cable, which can be used to power the HUB if we want to connect peripherals that require high voltage to it (I think of some external Hard Disks or tablets).

The dimensions of this 7-door HUB HooToo HT-UH006 (17x6x2cm) are very compact and has 5 USB ports on the longer side and 2 USB ports on the shorter sides. At the rear there is the USB output to connect the HUB to the PC and the input of the power supply, which manages up to 5 Volts and 4 Amps of current.

<img class=hub_3 "width =" 680 "height =" 609 "srcset =" // 680w, // uploads / 2015/03 / hub_3-150x134.jpg 150w, // 300w, // uploads / 2015/03 / hub_3-640x573.jpg 640w "data-sizes =" (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px "/> Experience of use

Turning to the use experience, this 7-door HUB HooToo HT-UH006 compatible with all operating systems (Linux, Mac OS X and Windows) and, once connected to the PC, it does not need a driver but undergoes a perfectly functioning operation.

Thanks to USB 3.0 technology, with PCs compatible with this version, I have pleasantly found a high speed both in reading and writing, keeping almost unchanged the performance of the PC's native USB port. Some slowdown can be found if you simultaneously transfer data from the peripherals connected to the 7 USB ports, but there are few, if not rare, occasions when this slowdown is perceived.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, the presence of the power supply (not necessary for the HUB to function normally), allows the connection of peripherals that need an electrical connection to operate.

<span class=hub_5 "width =" 680 "height =" 459 "srcset =" // 680w, // uploads / 2015/03 / hub_5-104x69.jpg 104w, // 150w, // uploads / 2015/03 / hub_5-300x203.jpg 300w, // 640w "data-sizes =" (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px "/> Conclusions

If you are looking for a HUB that for your needs encloses a large number of USB ports and at the same time guarantees a good read and write speed, then the HUBHooToo HT-UH006 the optimal solution. Now you can buy it with the discount on (updated version).
