Win2000: prenatal patch

The news that Microsoft has already been forced to intervene to close a couple of holes in the new server operating system, which should make its debut on February 17th, is released by ZDNet. According to an article published in the weekend one of the two bugs, in particular, would be potentially very serious considering that it allows a hacker to see lists of data containing sensitive data, such as addresses and credit card numbers. The second, instead, allows an intruder to read the characteristics of the network on which the server is located. Microsoft claims to have become aware of the problems too late, when Win2000 was already in production, hence the need for a patch
